BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
JUNE 18, 2011
BORING FIRE DEPARTMENT, BORING, OR
CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to Order at 11:55 by President George Eisert.
ATTENDANCE: George Eisert, President
Dave Crawford, 2nd Vice President
Ton Ward, 1 Year Director
Tony Miller, 3 Year Director
Kerry Bohanan, Executive Director
Neil Senger, Life Member
Dave Clark, Rick Fletcher and Art Blaisdell were excused from the meeting.
MINUTES: A motion was made and seconded to approve previous minutes. Passed.
PRESIDENTS REPORT: George thanked everyone for their work on making this year's school such a success, even with the last minute cancellation of one of the instructors.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR REPORT: Kerry presented an e-mail from Quick Pressure offering a 15% off to members if we join their advertisement program. After discussion, it was given to the Vendors Committee for a possible presentation at our next school.
Kerry presented a new type of coffee cup to replace the ceramic cups that we have been giving out in the past. This change should save us several hundred dollars next year. A motion was made and seconded to accept the new cup. Passed.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Kerry gave a report on the budgets and expenses incurred over the past two years. Discussion was held concerning increasing the cost for classes next year to make up for our increased expenses.
AUDIT COMMITTEE: Neil reported that since everyone there was present for the audit, a motion was made and seconded to approve the positive findings from the committee. Passed.
NEW BUSINESS: Kerry presented a proposed budget for discussion. After discussion, a motion was made and seconded to approve the budget as presented. Passed.
A motion was made and seconded to pay Kerry his annual salary. Passed.
A motion was made and seconded to pay half of the expenses for Dave Crawford's upcoming trip to Atlanta for the EVMS meeting. Passed.
GOOD OF THE ORDER: George gave a report on the positive aspects concerning the merging of Boring and Clackamas County volunteers.
