OREGON FIRE APPARATUS EQUIPMENT MECHANICS ASSOCIATION
BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 3, 2007
JACKSON COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT #3
WHITE CITY STATION
LUNCH AT 12:00 of Subway sandwiches.
CALL TO ORDER: at 12:37 P.M. by Art Blaisdell
ATTENDANCE:

Neil Senger, Life Member

PRESIDENTS REPORT: None
MINUTES: Last meeting minutes were read and approved.
FINANCIAL REPORT:
Financial report was handed out to members.
Rick reported that he researched putting some of the
association's money into interest bearing accounts at
Edward Jones, and the board approved him doing so.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR REPORT:
Rick handed out a membership list, and reported there are
currently 103 members.
Rick went over a preliminary class schedule for the week
of school and explained each class and what was still
needed. He still has to finalize some of the instructors
for the classes.
Rick asked for the mailing addresses for any agencies that
might be interested in attending our school so he could add
them to the mailing list.
The Hotel contract and Chemeketa contract have been
signed. Buster's Barbeque will do the Banquet dinner.
Bo has the cup picture ready to go to Gravagraphics.
OLD BUSINESS:
Neil gave a count on the shirts that we have left, and we
will need some more. Bo is going to Email the pictures that
he showed us last meeting and so we can choose which
picture to use and have some new t-shirts made up for
school.
Rick will try to get the past shirts and cups on the
website to clearance them.
NEW BUSINESS:
Dan reports that we could get 2 more members from Grants
Pass, they are doing their own maintenance again.
Rick reported that he put a "Jobs" page on the website
and linked it to Vancouver Fire Dept. job application. If
anyone knows of other fire mechanic openings send them to
ofaema to get them posted on the web site.
GOOD OF THE ORDER:
George said that there is a recall on the pitman arm on
Pierce Tak 4 suspension equipped vehicles.
Rick asked that members forward items of interest like
recalls, or tsb's, to him so that he can put them on the
website for others.
