OREGON FIRE APPARATUS & EQUIPMENT MECHANICS ASSOCIATION
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
APRIL 21, 2007
MARION COUNTY REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER
BROOKS, ORE.
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m.
ATTENDANCE:
Dave Hopman, One year Director 07/08
Art Blaisdell, Vice President
Kerry (Bo) Bohanan, Life Member
Neil Senger, Life Member

Dave Clark, Three year Director 07/08
Mark Wilson, Two year Director 07/08

Tammy Fletcher, Assistant Executive Director
MINUTES: Meeting minutes from the March 8th, 2007 annual
membership meeting were read, and approved.
TREASURES REPORT: Rick handed out a budget report and an
open invoice report on unpaid invoices.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS REPORT: Rick explained the budget
shortfalls on this year's school income and expenses.
Student count was down from what was anticipated this year.
Rick asked if he should send a billing for current members
for the 07/08 dues. He will make up a form letter for dues
reminders to current members that haven't renewed yet and
include an application form.
Set the dates for next years school, March 10th thru the
14th, 2008. If looks like the lunch catering next year will
be by the Chemeketa catering.
Discussed the problems we had with the facility with Laurie
Hendricks from Chemeketa College.
PRESIDENTS REPORT: none
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A. EDUCATION: Rick reported that UL wants to do a
class next year on the new 1911 document.
Stihl has offered to do a half day or full day
class on their maintenance of their saws.
The board would like to have classes on the F2 and
F3 tests, a pump class(Waterous or Darley),
Management class (JTS Stephans?), Allison &
Detroit
(Dan Clark, Al Conkle), Duramax Diesel, Cummins
Electronics, Electrical F4/E2 (see if Dennis can
do it),
B. VENDORS: We had over 100 people in attendance at
the vendor show.
C. SCHOLARSHIP:
OLD BUSINESS: none
NEW BUSINESS: Rick and Dave Clark will attend the OFIA
conference vendor show on the 27th of March in Keizer and
have an OFAEMA table
The Northwest Fire and Rescue Expo is the 18 and 19th of
May at the Expo Center in North Portland. We will have a
table there.
Mark Wilson asked if we would have a table at the OVFA
Conference vendow show this year.

MOTION TO ADJOURN: Adjourned at 12:50
NEXT MEETING: Next Meeting will be on Saturday June 9th,
at Brooks. The Audit committee will meet at 10:00 and
meeting will be at 12:00.
