BOARD MEETING
DECEMBER 5, 2009

CALLED TO ORDER: Called to Order at 13:00 by President George Eisert

Don Gleason was excused from the meeting due to prior committment
MINUTES: Motion was made and seconded to approve minutes. Passed
PRESIDENTS REPORT: None
FINANCIAL REPORT: Kerry gave a report on the checking account balance and the investment portfolio.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS REPORT: Kerry reported that we gained 3 new members along with the renewals bringing our current membership to 133.
EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Rick led a discussion on the progress with the class schedule for next year. We will bring in Al Conkle to do the Allison Transmission and the Foam class. Discussion was held on class titles and possible instructors for the other time slots. Mike Thorn will again be proctoring the EVT exams on Friday and Saturday mornings.
Kerry reported that the motel and training center contracts have been signed. He will recontact the site caterer and the banquet caterer to reverify the dates.
Rick will handle putting all the training information on the website and Kerry will handle all the registration.
Dave reported on the "Emergency Apparatus Accident" training class that he took in Washington. He thought that it would be a good class for our school.
Discussion was held on 'hospitality room' sponsor.
NEW BUSINESS: Life member applications were discussed.
GOOD OF THE ORDER: Mike Thorn gave a report on the IAFC and the Emergency Vehicle Management System.
